Blackwater Fine Art Portraits has opened its doors in Bellaire, Ohio, a fine art portrait studio creating heirloom family, children, senior, and pet portraits for families across the Ohio Valley, Belmont County, Wheeling, and Northern West Virginia. This is not a photo session and a folder of files. It is commissioned artwork, designed for your home and made to be passed down.

The artist behind the studio
Blackwater is the fine art studio of Donnie Stevens. Through his company DLS Innovations, Donnie and his team photograph thousands of students and athletes across the region every year. That volume taught him something most photographers never learn: how to read a person in seconds, direct with confidence, and find the real expression under the nerves. Donnie is honored to be named a 2026 Professional Photographers of America 30 Under 30 Honoree, and Blackwater is where he slows that craft down to one family at a time.

Blackwater specializes in four artforms, each held to one standard. Family portraits in the Heirloom Series. Children's portraits in the Legacy Series. High school senior portraits in the Signature Series. And fine art pet portraits in the Companion Series.
